AR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA | JULY 2026 Antony Mlelwa is building a distinctly African case for blockchain adoption: technology should be understood before it is promoted, financial risk should be explained before opportunity is celebrated, and education must remain stronger than market hype. From community workshops in East Africa to Crypto Expo Dubai, the Tanzanian educator is arguing that sustainable blockchain adoption depends on informed people – not merely rising participation. DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, July 2026 – As blockchain technology moves from speculative markets toward institutional finance, tokenized assets and new models of digital ownership, Tanzanian educator Antony Polycarp Mlelwa is making a less glamorous but more durable argument: meaningful adoption must begin with financial education.
Mlelwa is a Certified Financial Educator, blockchain educator, international speaker and founder of DienAcademy. Online, he shares educational content under the social media identity Trizymagno, including through Instagram at @trizymagno. Since beginning his cryptocurrency journey in 2017, he has built a public career focused on helping individuals understand not only the opportunities presented by digital assets, but also their risks, limitations and personal responsibilities.
Since 2020, Mlelwa has also held a commercial and marketing role at Inkryptus Wallet, a crypto wallet platform offering staking rewards through a referral-based independent business owner (IBO) structure. His work has taken him from classrooms, workshops and online learning communities in East Africa to international industry platforms. He participated as a speaker at Crypto Expo Dubai 2025, contributed to conversations at the Corporate Blockchain Gala 2026 in Dar es Salaam, and has delivered numerous workshops and masterclasses through DienAcademy.
He is also scheduled to appear among the speakers at Crypto Expo Dubai 2026, taking place on 9-10 September at Dubai World Trade Centre. “I do not measure adoption by how many people can purchase a digital asset. I measure it by how many people can explain what they own, why they own it, what risks they are accepting and how they intend to protect themselves.”
– Antony Mlelwa A Journey That Began Before Crypto Became Mainstream Mlelwa entered cryptocurrency in 2017, when the industry was still widely viewed as a highly speculative and technically confusing corner of the internet. His early experience was not a story of instant success. Like many participants entering a new and volatile market, he encountered sharp price cycles, fragmented information, technical complexity and the difficult task of separating genuine innovation from persuasive marketing.
Those challenges did not push him away from the field. They changed the questions he was asking. Rather than focusing only on price movements, he began studying the systems beneath them: blockchain architecture, custody, token economics, decentralized finance, market psychology, regulation and the conditions that can turn innovation into financial harm.
That difficult beginning now shapes the central philosophy behind his educational work. People should not enter cryptocurrency merely because they have been shown possible profits. They should first understand what they are buying, how it works, where its value may come from, what assumptions support the investment case and what could cause them to lose money.
From Chemistry and Teaching to Digital Finance Before building a career in blockchain education, Mlelwa followed a traditional academic path. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Education, specializing in Chemistry and Biology, and began his professional life as a teacher. That scientific and educational foundation continues to shape the way he approaches blockchain and digital assets.
Instead of presenting cryptocurrency as an easy route to wealth, Mlelwa treats it as a subject that must be examined through evidence, systems, cause-and-effect relationships and clearly defined risks. His transition from science education into financial and blockchain education was therefore not a complete departure from his original profession. It was an expansion of it.
The subject changed – from chemistry and biology to decentralized networks and digital finance – but the responsibility remained similar: simplify complicated ideas without distorting them, and equip learners to think independently rather than repeat conclusions they cannot defend. A Financial-Education Foundation for a Fast-Moving Industry Mlelwa earned the Certified Financial Educator credential through the Bank of Tanzania Academy, adding a formal financial-education foundation to the practical knowledge he had developed through years of participation in the digital-asset sector. For him, the qualification represented more than another professional title.
It strengthened his ability to connect emerging digital finance with established principles such as financial planning, consumer a
