Skip to main content Apple TV prepared a slew of announcements for its main stage Hall H appearance at San Diego Comic Con this weekend. Leading the charge, its new sci-fi epic Neuromancer (based on the genre-defining William Gibson novel) has finally got a release date: the series will premiere on January 22. The streamer also released new trailers for season 2 of Dark Matter and upcoming movie Matchbox.
Watch them after the break … The gritty, cyberpunk Neuromancer series stars Callum Turner as Case, a hacker who works with an assassin called Molly to take on a corporate dynasty. The first teaser for the series is ready to watch now, but fans of the franchise have still got a bit of a wait on their hands.
Neuromancer will premiere on January 22, 2027; with a season consisting of ten episodes. Also released today was the official season two trailer of Dark Matter, which is coming out at the end of August. Dark Matter season one came out in 2024, adapting the story from the novel of the same name by author Blake Crouch.
Season two goes beyond the story of the book, but all the scripts are still written by Crouch. It seems the world has not been rid of the many Jason clones, after all. And finally, Apple released the trailer for its upcoming movie Matchbox, starring John Cena.
Loosely based on the brand of toy cars, Matchbox seems to follow a classic CIA agent and conspiracy plot. Vehicle chases, helicopters and the usual action comedy formula seem to be on display here. You can stream Matchbox in October.
Apple’s Comic Con presence also included in-person panels for Widows Bay, Silo and more. It’s the company’s biggest showing at the prestigious annual event, hosting a 2-hour slot in Hall H for the first time ever. FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links.
