Pixel Watch 5 specs leak with no chip upgrade, but more RAM
The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to look identical to last year’s model, but the similarities might also extend to the specs and chip.
Skip to main content The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to look identical to last year’s model, but the similarities might also extend to the specs and chip. According to the Google Play Console, the Pixel Watch 5 is codenamed “godric.” This might be a portmanteau like previous generations.
From this listing, Google is using the “Qualcomm SW5100,” which would be the same base chip as the Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4. The CPU and GPU are unchanged from last year: CPU: 4x ARM Cortex-A53 (1700 MHz) GPU: Qualcomm Adreno 702 (1000 MHz) As a reminder, Google started using the 4nm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with the Pixel Watch 2. The Pixel Watch 4 saw an upgrade to the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 for Satellite SOS, while the co-processor went from ARM Cortex-M33 to M55.

For comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 9 uses the 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite with 1x Cortex-A78 and 4x Cortex-A55. Meanwhile, the Pixel Watch 5 looks to have 3 GB of RAM in the first upgrade from 2 GB since Google’s entry into wearables.
That presumably helps unlock Gemini Intelligence capabilities. The new Samsung wearable stick with 2 GB. Finally, this listing includes a picture (as seen in the cover image above) that matches what previously leaked.
There’s a new analog watch face with Gemini’s Neural Expressive design language. Thanks Noah FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links. More.
