Submit Form No. 6 if name is missing from final voters’ list: Karnataka CEO

Karnataka State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) V. Anbukumar said here on Saturday that if any voter’s name is missing from the final electoral roll, the person can apply for inclusion by submitting Form No. 6 to the Election Commission of India.

After receiving the forms from voters, their digitisation should be expedited. If voters are unable to return the forms within the stipulated time, they can apply for their names to be added by submitting Form No. 6 after the final voter list is published.

The prescribed documents and declarations need to be submitted along with the application.Cases of absentee, shifted, deceased, and duplicate (ASDD) voters should be thoroughly verified and recorded. The list should also be given to the agents of political parties, Mr.

Anbukumar said.If the digitisation process is completed quickly, it will help prepare the publication of the draft voter list. The election officials concerned and polling booth officials should pay attention to this, he said.

Deputy Commissioner H. V. Darshan informed that there are 18,03,766 voters in the district, and enumeration forms have been distributed to all of them.

Of these, 14,97,139 forms have been digitised, amounting to 83% completion. So far, 65,588 voters in the district have been identified as ASDD. In all, 1,098 facility centres are functioning in the district to help voters.
