Traffic curbs near Necklace Road for candlelight rally

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions around Necklace Road, Khairatabad and adjoining areas on Saturday (July 25) evening in view of a candlelight rally to be led by AICC president and Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge.The rally, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
, will proceed from People’s Plaza to the Indira Gandhi statue at Necklace Rotary and is expected to be attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and other dignitaries.Traffic diversions will be enforced on a need basis between 4 p.
m. and 8 p.m.

Vehicles heading towards PVNR Marg (Necklace Road) from Panjagutta, Raj Bhavan, Minister Road, Buddha Bhavan and the Secretariat side will be diverted at various junctions, including VV Statue, Nallagutta Crossroads, the Secretariat North-East Gate, Government Printing Press Junction and Rajiv Gandhi Statue near the Khairatabad Metro Station.The traffic police said congestion was expected around VV Statue, Old Police Station Junction at Lakdikapul, Iqbal Minar Junction, Secretariat Junction and the Ranigunj area during the evening hours.
Motorists have been advised to avoid these stretches, plan their travel accordingly and use alternate routes wherever possible.The department appealed to commuters to follow traffic updates on its social media platforms and contact the traffic helpline at 9010203626 in case of emergencies or for travel assistance.
