Two youth killed in a road accident in Vellore
A third person was injured
Two youths were killed in a road accident after a two-wheeler they were travelling on hit a van at Melpatti village near Pernambut town in Vellore on Friday.The police said the deceased persons were identified as R. Pradeep, 22, and Abdul Rehman, 21.
They were childhood friends in Pernambut town. Initial inquiry revealed that along with a friend S. Mani, 22, the duo was travelling on a two-wheeler when Pradeep lost control of the vehicle and hit a van which was coming in the opposite direction on the stretch.
The police said that they were thrown off the vehicle and badly injured. Other motorists and passersby admitted them at Government Taluk Hospital in Pernambut town where doctors said that Rehman and Pradeep were brought dead. Mani was referred to Government Medical College Hospital in Vellore town.
